A deputy in the ruling Likud: The majority of Israelis want to exterminate the residents of Gaza
After the United States denounced statements made by two Israeli government ministers, in which they called for the return of Jewish settlers to Gaza after the end of the current war and “encouraging” Palestinians to emigrate from the Gaza Strip towards the Congo and other countries, the representative from the ruling Likud Party, Moshe Saada, came out. In a more serious statement, he said that he and the majority of Israelis are calling for the annihilation of the people of Gaza.
Saada said, during an interview with the right-wing Channel 14, which usually promotes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “Just as it has become clear today to everyone that the right was honest and correct in presenting a position against the establishment of a Palestinian state, a simple matter has also become clear, which is their annihilation. Wherever you go today, they tell you: “Exterminate them,” stressing that “my comrades with whom I served in the State Attorney’s Office, even in the (left-wing) kibbutzim, everyone says to me: Oh Moshe. “Everyone wants to exterminate them.”
However, after publishing criticism of the Likud MP’s statements, and legal scholars warned him that he was “practically calling for the extermination of a people and this falls within the category of war crimes,” Saada backed down and tried to correct his statements by claiming that he only intended to “exterminate (Hamas).” But his statements spread widely on social networks and still leave a negative impact.
Right-wing support
On Wednesday, the Times of Israel newspaper quoted a senior source in the mini-cabinet as saying that Israel is holding discussions with Congo and other countries to “accept immigrants” from the Gaza Strip, while an Israeli minister renewed his demand for the resettlement of Gazans outside the Strip.
The source said: “Congo will be ready to receive migrants, and we are holding talks with others.” He did not mention the other countries with which Israel is holding discussions in this regard.
The newspaper also quoted the Israeli Minister of Intelligence, Gila Gamliel, as saying before the Knesset on Tuesday: “At the end of the war, Hamas’ rule will collapse, there will be no municipal authorities, and the civilian population will depend entirely on humanitarian aid.” There will be no work, and 60 percent of agricultural land in Gaza will turn into security buffer zones.”

On Tuesday, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller attacked other racist statements made by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Homeland Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, in which he called for the people of Gaza to be deported from their lands “as punishment for the October 7 attack.” », stressing that «the United States rejects the recent statements by Israeli Ministers Smotrich and Ben Gvir, which call for the resettlement of Palestinians outside Gaza.» He added that these statements were “irresponsible.”
But Miller added, “The Israeli government, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has repeatedly informed us that these statements do not reflect the position of the Israeli government.” He stressed that the United States sees “Gaza as Palestinian land and will remain Palestinian land.”

Ben Gvir challenges America
Both Ben Gvir and Smotrich responded to the American official with complete rejection. Ben Gvir said: “I very much appreciate the United States of America. But with all due respect, we are not another star in the American flag. We do first what is in the interest of Israel,” once again promoting a solution that encourages the emigration of Gazans, because “it is the only solution to instill safety among the residents of Israel around Gaza and return them to the towns that they were forced to evacuate since the beginning of the war.”
For his part, Smotrich said that more than 70 percent of Israelis today support what he described as “the humanitarian solution aimed at voluntary Palestinian migration from the Gaza Strip to countries that absorb them,” claiming that the world has come to understand that Israel cannot continue to have enemies who want to Its destruction “is 4 minutes away from our towns,” stressing that this reality cannot continue, “and our friends should join us in working to change it.”
Smotrich did not hide his desire to restore Jewish settlement in Gaza, saying: “The exit of the Palestinians from Gaza would also open the way for the re-establishment of Jewish settlements there.”

It is noteworthy that the Israeli settler right is running a massive campaign to convince the public of the necessity of supporting displacement. The right-wing newspaper, Makor Rishon, called on the Israeli writer and historian, Yoav Sorek, to “place the issue of the displacement of the people of Gaza at the top of the scale of attention.”
Sorek, who is considered one of the authorities of the right-wing parties, is a member of several groups trying to push a large-scale migration from Gaza, as the only way out that will turn the next day (after the war) into a day of peace.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had promised to form a working group to study the idea of encouraging voluntary migration for the people of Gaza. Last October, Israeli media revealed a document prepared by the Ministry of Intelligence, a week after the start of the war, in which it recommended “implementing a complete transfer of the population of Gaza.”
According to the document, Israel must “evacuate the Gazan population to Sinai” during the war, establish tent cities and new cities in northern Sinai for the expelled Gaza population, then “establish a buffer zone several kilometers long inside Egypt, and not allow the population to return to engage in activity or residence any time soon.” From the borders of Israel.
