Microsoft has launched a new update for developers of its operating system, Windows 11, which revealed some upcoming changes that are in the development and testing phase before they are officially approved and reach all users.
Microsoft is keen to improve the most popular operating system for computers, Windows 11, by sending updates and dealing with the system more broadly, similar to updating operating systems for smartphones. A few weeks after the arrival of major updates to the system, most notably the CoPilot smart assistant, it seems that other changes are coming in 2017. 2024 new.
According to what was published by Xda-Developers, Microsoft has launched a new version of Windows 11 for developers, which is called Windows 11 Dev, which is developer build number 23612, and it contains a richer weather information display experience on the lock screen and some other changes and bug fixes as well.
Meanwhile, the other developer channel, Canary, is getting system build 26020, which only carries some features related to voice access.
As for the first version for developers, the report monitored the most important feature of this version, which is the experience of displaying more details about the weather condition on the lock screen, in a way that is very similar to the lock screen on Android and iOS smartphones.
Now, when a user hovers over the weather icon at the bottom of the Windows 11 lock screen, more dynamic information about the weather itself should appear.
Clicking on the weather card will open the full MSN weather forecast.
There is nothing to do to activate the feature if the weather display has already been enabled in the settings, but if it is not activated, this can be done by going to Settings, Personalization, then Lock Screen Settings, then activating the weather.
