John Travolta pays respect to Olivia Newton-John
“My dearest Olivia, you have made all of our lives so much better,” the actor wrote Instagram. “Your influence has been incredible. I love you so much.”
Newton-John and Travolta gained international fame in 1978 when they played bad boy Danny and sweet Sandy in the movie musical “Grease.”
A few years ago The two returned to their roles for a special evening in West Palm Beach, Florida, as they attended a screening of the film and a Q&A session at the Coral Sky Amphitheater.
Newton-John wore her signature yellow skirt and matching white button-up cardigan. Travolta wore a classic leather jacket and had his hair slicked back.
It was the first time the two appeared in costume since they first made the film more than 40 years ago, Newton-John wrote on Instagram at the time.
In his tribute, Travolta added: “We will see you on the way and we will all be together again.”
He signed: “Yours from the moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John.”
