Deadly Car Crash at ‘Dead Man’s Curve’ in Queens: Identity of Victims Revealed

They release the identity of the five occupants of a car who died yesterday, after a spectacular car crash in the area known as “Dead Man’s Curve” in Queens.

The driver of the Mazda vehicle that caused the crash was identified as Kazeem Ramsahai, who resided in North Carolina.

Three of the deceased passengers, Mario Ocampo, 30, Salma García, 23, and Dayanara Benitez Ocampo, 19, lived at the same address in Jackson Heights.

The fifth fatality, Jordy Bentances, lived in LeFrak City.

The fatal accident occurred yesterday at the point where the Cross Island Parkway and Whitestone Expressway meet, in the Whitestone sector.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the Mazda vehicle was apparently traveling at a high speed when it collided with the area that divides the lanes and overturned, being hit by a Honda car, which is believed to have been traveling at normal speed in the same direction.
