NEW YORK — A three-alarm fire broke out at a private home in the Bronx on Tuesday night, according to the New York City Fire Department.
The fire started at a three-story private residence located in 920 Summit Avenue shortly before 7 pm in the section Highbridge County.
Firefighters responded to the scene, where the fire reportedly broke out on the top floor.
The fire grew to three alarms, with more than 130 firefighters and emergency medical personnel on scene.
As a result of the flames, three civilians and a firefighter suffered minor injuries. They were evaluated by emergency medical services at the scene.
Three of the injured were transported to Lincoln Hospital. One refused further medical attention, according to the FDNY.
An investigation remains in place.
