Next are passenger vehicles,” said General Manager of BYD Asia-Pacific Auto Sales Division, Liu Xueliang, when met at BYD’s head office. in Shengzhen, China, recently.
Not just sales, BYD has also shown interest in building a factory in Indonesia. However, they are still waiting for policies from the Indonesian Government before deciding to take steps to invest.
“After the product was launched, some of the points you mentioned such as local manufacturing, new energy solutions, and even a rail transit system we are also seriously considering from now on,” said Liu.
“It is difficult for us to create universal standards to meet the demands of all countries. But today here we are confident to show our intentions regarding the possibility of local manufacturing in Indonesia,” said Liu.
