Dutch Forward Stef Schalk in Negotiations with ADO Den Haag: Contract Expiring with Urawa Reds

may return to the Dutch fields. The 31-year-old attacker is negotiating an employment contract with ADO Den Haag, as presenter/journalist Mounir Boualin of FCUpdate knows.

Schalk is currently still under contract with Urawa Reds in Japan. However, the striker and winger’s contract expires on February 1, meaning he can look for a new club on a transfer-free basis.

Youth favorite NAC Breda is one of the clubs that is interested in the services of Schalk, but it currently seems to prefer an adventure with ADO Den Haag. ADO is in third place at the top of the Kitchen Champion Division and can therefore dream of promotion to the Eredivisie, while NAC is ninth. The difference in the rankings between the two teams is six points after twenty rounds.

Schalk had his breakthrough in the Netherlands at NAC. He then played in his own country for Jong PSV and Go Ahead Eagles, before moving abroad in 2015. Schalk served Ross County in Scotland, Servette FC in Switzerland and since 2022 Urawa Reds in Japan.

ADO and NAC are not the only clubs interested in Schalk. Various clubs from Japan also welcome his arrival.
