On Tuesday, Dagbladet wrote that Marvel actress Carrie Bernans was hit by a car while celebrating New Year’s Eve in New York.
TMZ described the accident as very serious, and that nine people should be injured. Three of the injured are said to be police officers.
Norwegian Julie Hansson (39), who has previously won 16 NM gold medals in gymnastics and today works as an agent for athletes and entertainers in the USA, was also injured in the accident.
– Maid in the ground
She writes that herself in an update Instagram. Dagbladet has been given permission to reproduce text and images from the post.
– Carrie Bernans, my twin sister Kathrine and I were walking on the sidewalk on 34th Street. A car tried to get away from the police who were chasing him.
Nurse died suddenly on Christmas Eve
She further says that they saw the car crash into other cars, and that the three decided to hide behind a food truck.
– Suddenly the car drove at full speed into the food truck, knocking both Carrie and me to the ground, so we became unconscious. We got stuck under the car, and Kathrine helped us get out. She was lucky not to be hit.
– Very scary
Julie’s sister Kathrine describes to Dagbladet what happened during the next, dramatic seconds:
– I was only two steps ahead of Julie and Carrie, and that’s why I wasn’t hit. I saw them get hit really hard and end up on top of them. I saw Julie lying lifeless on the ground under the food truck. I ran over, pulled her out of there and saw her bleeding from the head and unconscious.

She tried to revive her twin sister.
– Slowly but surely she returned to consciousness. But she didn’t remember anything, she didn’t know where she was. It was very frightening. I was afraid something had happened to her brain.
As Kathrine held Julie, she wondered where Carrie was. Suddenly she heard her scream, and saw her crawling out of the food truck before she got help from anyone else on the scene.
– She actually had very serious injuries, says Kathrine.
Rushed to hospital
Julie says in the Instagram post that both Carrie Bernans and herself were rushed to the hospital, where they received treatment for their injuries.
Six hours in line: Big toilet problems
– I’m not the type of person to share my problems, because I’m not looking for sympathy and I don’t want people to worry. But after telling about the accident, I see what kind of support system I have. I really appreciate everyone who has made contact, Julie writes further.

She writes that she is at home and on the road to recovery.
– The left side of my face is very swollen and hurts. It also applies to my body. The headache comes and goes.
– Thought she was going to lose me
Julie goes on to say that she will remove the stitches in two days.
– I feel a little better today, so things are going in the right direction. I think the worst thing for me is hearing that while Kathrine was holding me and I lay unconscious and bleeding from the head, she thought she was going to lose me.
Both Julie and Kathrine are former national team gymnasts.

According to TMZ, the police will have already chased the car before the accident, and a man will now be arrested for the incident.
“Broken bones and teeth”
The driver of the car, reportedly a 44-year-old man, is said to be in police custody at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. TMZ writes.
Following the accident, Carrie Bernan’s mother Patricia has also published several photos of the actor from the hospital at Instagram.
– Incredibly strong
“She has a couple of broken bones and teeth, but thank God she’s alive,” writes the mother, adding that she has just undergone an operation.
In the pictures, Bernans can be seen lying in the hospital bed, with several scrapes on his face, his mouth full of blood and several broken teeth.
