Former Official of the Directorate General of Taxes, Ministry of Finance Rafael Alun Trisambodo asked the panel of judges to acquit him from cases of gratification and money laundering (TPPU) because he claimed he had contributed to the country. Former KPK investigator, Praswad Nugraha, believes that what Rafael Alun did was paid for by the state through his salary.

“All of Rafael Alun’s services while serving as a state apparatus have been paid in full by the state and people of Indonesia through his official salary along with position allowances and facilities that he receives every month from the APBN through the Ministry of Finance,” said Praswad when contacted, Tuesday (2/1/2024 ).

Praswad hopes that there will be no more attempts to mislead the public in opinion like what Rafael Alun did. He emphasized that whatever happens, corruption is an extraordinary crime that causes suffering to the nation and state.

He emphasized that it was Rafael Alun who now owed the country a lot of debt. According to him, the salary that Rafael Alun has received so far has not been properly accounted for.

“In fact, Rafael Alun still owes a lot of debt to this nation and state for the salary and all the facilities of state officials that he has enjoyed for decades, but at the end of his career he was charged with committing corrupt acts which are currently being prosecuted at the District Court. “Central Jakarta Corruption Eradication Commission,” he said.
