O Bahia he agreed to purchase midfielder Jean Lucas, who was at Santos. The 25-year-old player will sign a contract with Tricolor valid for five seasons.

In the agreement, the Bahian club will pay 4.5 million euros (R$ 24.2 million) to have the player. It is also expected to pay an additional 1.5 million euros (R$6.4 million) to meet targets.
The expectation is that the player will arrive in Salvador this week and travel with the squad to the pre-season in Manchester, on January 9th.

Jean Lucas graduated from Flamengo’s academy, but stood out as a professional for the first time in 2019, during a loan at Santos. He was later traded to European football and spent time at Lyon, Brest and Monaco, all in France.
Back at Peixe in 2023, there were 22 matches in the Brazilian Championship. The midfielder helped the team with three assists, but was unable to avoid relegation to the Second Division. The relegation is directly related to the departure of the midfielder, who receives one of the highest salaries in the squad.
