Classic Design and Economy: Honda Win-like TMX125 Alpha Now Available in the Philippines

Jakarta

Honda Win is no longer sold in Indonesia. But the distinctive design of the motorbike that many government offices favor is still being adopted in the Philippines.

The country nicknamed the pearl of the sea from Orien sells a motorbike similar to the Honda Win under the name TMX125 Alpha. The shape of the motorbike reminds of the existence of the Honda Win, its characteristics are box lights, a long, slim tank, curved fenders with chrome accents.

The appearance is more classic thanks to the use of telescopic suspension in the front area, and double suspension which is exposed without a cover. Continuing to the back area, there is a metal shelf for carrying documents. While Honda motorbikes have implemented digital meter panels, the TMX125 Alpha cockpit area still uses analog needles.

The exterior of the TMX125 Alpha is like the reincarnation of the Honda Win. The classic design plus economical fuel consumption are the selling points offered on the TMX125 Alpha. This motorbike is claimed to have fuel consumption of 62.5 km per liter! economical, right? The test was carried out at a constant speed of 45 km/hour.

Not only does it look like a men’s motorbike in Indonesia more than two decades ago, the TMX125 Alpha still uses a carburetor misting system, you know! and the ignition system uses Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI).

In the past, the Honda Win used a 100 cc engine, which was different from the TMX125 Alpha. The motorbike, which is sold without the option of disc brakes, aka only drum braking, now has a capacity of 125 cc. On paper, this motorbike can produce 7.16 hp of power at 8,000 rpm, and 9.1 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The capabilities of this motorbike are channeled through a 5-speed manual transmission.

In terms of size, the Honda TMX125 Alpha is designed to be friendly for Asian people. The seat height is only 759 mm, and the ground clearance reaches 156 mm. As an illustration, the Honda Verza sold in Indonesia has the same ground clearance as the TMX125 Alpha. The tall impression of this motorbike is supported by the use of 18 inch tires for the front and rear.

In the Philippines, this motorbike is available in three color options, namely Matte Armored Silver Metallic, Candy Ruby Red and Black. The price is 56,900 Pesos or around Rp. 15.8 million (exchange rate of 1 Philippine Peso = Rp. 278.58). Wow, even cheaper than the Honda BeAT here, huh!
