Libreville, Tuesday January 2, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – The General Directorate of Statistics says it is satisfied with the results obtained after three days of work.
After three days of reflection, the Statistics Dissemination Days closed on December 29 in Libreville. Placed under the presidency of the Prime Minister, head of government, Raymond Ndong Sima, and organized by the General Directorate of Statistics, these days allowed participants to discover not only the repertoire of statistical productions, but above all to immerse themselves in the National statistics development strategy (SNDS) 2023-2025. According to Pierre Claver Mfouba, Director General of Statistics, it aims to establish a quality and operational system that suits the diverse production, regulation and transformation needs of Gabonese society.
At the end of three works, the results are rather satisfactory for the organizers. Especially since these days made it possible to strengthen the capacities of the General Directorate of Statistics, to improve statistical production and practices in the dissemination of data. “The data that is here is enormous, a mine, a treasure », Commented Pierre Claver Mfouba. The merit of this event also lies in the massive participation of the public. “When we look at the crowds, I don’t think that in the history of statistics in Gabon we have had so many compatriots gathered to appreciate the work done by the men and women of the DGS. It’s satisfaction », rejoiced Pierre Claver Mfouba.
