Life in the spotlight sometimes remains crazy for Eloise van Oranje. In conversation with radio DJ Bram Krikke, she looks back on the moment she appeared on the red carpet of an event in Germany and only saw flashes of the camera. “I call it my Hailey Bieber moment, there were flashes everywhere. Did I like it? Nah, especially weird.”
Although the count influencer knows that this attention is part of her life, she thinks it would be a nice idea to live abroad one day. A first small step has already been taken: Van Oranje will leave for New York next year for a six-month internship. She is really looking forward to that. “I can not wait. Not that I see myself as someone important, more that no one knows me.”
The niece of King Willem-Alexander leaves it open as to what exactly that internship entails. Most likely it has to do with her studies at the Hoge Hotelschool in Amsterdam. The countess also already knows what she wants to do after her internship: focus ‘one hundred percent’ on her own company My Lima Lima, which is all about selling donated, luxury brand clothing. The profits go to charities and, Van Oranje says, she will even open a store in The Hague in February. “I don’t see influencing as a real job, more of a side job. It reinforces the things I do and helps my business,” she concludes.
