King Melrose Concert Interrupted After Beer Cans Thrown On Stage at New Year’s Party in Montreal

Singer King Melrose’s concert, shortly before the midnight countdown, was abruptly interrupted after an incident on stage.

While on the main stage of the New Year’s Party organized by the Grand Marché de Noël de Montréal at the Quartier des Spectacles, King Melrose received two cans of beer in the face, he said on his Instagram account.

The Quebec artist provided an update on the unfortunate situation, specifying that his performance was interrupted by event security.

“Sorry to everyone who was there, I had to stop the show. First of all, it wasn’t me who stopped it, it was security, because it was becoming dangerous,” says the singer-songwriter.

He implores the City of Montreal to allocate more money for the organization of private events, such as New Year’s Eve.

According to him, this money could have been used to hire more security guards for the event.

“I got back on stage and I was scared,” he says, adding that he is grateful for the team that supported him after the incident.

“I’m in shock.”

Singer King Melrose is not the first artist to be the victim of such an act.

In 2023, artists Bebe Rexha, Drake, Pink and Harry Styles have had objects thrown in their faces on stage.
