Fireworks Ban in Ukraine Leads to Special Police Forces Breaking Into Apartment

“At about 2 p.m., line 102 received a message that on Ivan Mazepa Street, unknown persons were launching fireworks from the balcony of a high-rise building. One of the patrol police crews was immediately sent to the indicated address,” the statement says.

The police were met by the applicant, who indicated the apartment number where the fireworks were coming from. Also on the street under the windows, inspectors found the remains of pyrotechnic products.

The special forces broke the door

No one responded to repeated calls and knocks on the apartment door, but it was heard that there were people in the house. Unknown people refused to open the door to the police.

“Patrol officers called an investigative team to the scene, and officers from the special police battalion also arrived,” law enforcement officers said.

A decision was made to forcefully open the door. Once in the apartment, law enforcement officers found four men and immediately detained them.
