Moroccan Journalist Abdellah Jaafari to Release New Documentary “The Epic” on Atlas Lions’ Historic Journey at Qatar World Cup 2022

Moroccan journalist, Abdellah Jaafari, is preparing to release a new documentary on the historic journey of the Atlas Lions during the Qatar World Cup in 2022, entitled “The Epic”.

On the occasion of the anniversary of the royal reception of the Atlas Lions at the end of their historic journey during the last FIFA World Cup 2022, organized in Qatar, and as the start of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the Moroccan journalist will release on January 4, 2024 a new documentary specifically dedicated to the unprecedented exploit of the Moroccan team.

In the film, the director will broadcast the testimonies of several world football legends, like the Brazilian Rivaldo, the Dutchman Patrick Kluivert and the Togolese Emmanuel Adebayor.

The former glories of Moroccan football will also take part in the documentary, notably Mohamed Timoumi, Aziz Bouderbala and Jaouad Zairi, and will comment, from their perspectives, on the feat achieved by Walid Regragui’s men.

The work will also feature the intervention of several art and entertainment stars, headed by the artistic producer and executive director of FIFA Entertainment, RedOne, the rapper Dizzy DROS, and the musician-composer Amine Boudchar.

Note that the preview screening of the film is scheduled for January 4, 2023, at the Megarama. The official release, for its part, is scheduled one day later, on January 5 in cinemas in Morocco and abroad.

This work, note its authors, is part of the efforts aimed at documenting this historic stage of Moroccan football, and aims to contribute to the works and artistic and cultural publications which strive to immortalize this pivotal moment of the Qatar World Cup.
