Last: Traffic on several central bus lines in Oslo has been stopped until further notice for security reasons. It applies to lines 21, 30, 34, 37 and 54, Ruter’s press officer Gro Feldberg Janborg tells NTB.

Serif Kuc lives at Bjørndal in Oslo south and was going to work to direct Oslo buses this morning.

But the terminus at Bjørndal is known as a dangerous place when snow and cold set in. This morning route 71A Mortensrud slid into a fence and got stuck. No people were injured.

At 12.00, the Viking rescue service came to the scene and had the articulated bus pulled out.

– There are still accidents like this with the buses in this area, says Kuc.

From the center at Mortensrud, the staff at the Nobina center follow the buses, register delays and accidents and direct extra crew and buses inside.

– We have double the crew today. It goes in one go, says Kuc.

Considering setting

This morning, messages about the need for help and assistance poured in after buses had run into difficulties in areas such as Bjørndal, Helsfyr, in Skulleruddumpa, Dalbrenna. This leads to large delays and more set routes.

– It gets worse and worse. It is slippery and a lot of snow. Many roads have not been plowed, says press officer Gro Janborg in Ruter to Aftenposten.

– So far there are a lot of partial settings. But we may have to stop the bus service completely until it is plowed, says Janborg.

Now several of the city’s central lines have been canceled until further notice.

– What do you advise travelers to do?

– If you have to travel, the general advice is to be patient. Allow plenty of time, says Janborg.

On its website, the company asks customers to expect delays and settings on nearly 200 different lines.

Subway trouble and bus for lane

Line 1 between Stortinget and Frognerseteren has been canceled due to snowy weather, Sporveien informs Twitter/X.

Buses will be set up from Majorstuen and taxis between Holmenkollen and Frognerseteren.

– It is quite windy in addition to the snow. This causes the snow to drift up and cover the power rails, says press officer Cato Asperud to Aftenposten.
