PrahaIN.cz mapped well-known Prague establishments and their New Year’s Eve menus. These differ considerably in both price and content. In general, however, the end of the year is very expensive in the Czech capital. If we were to take a family of four who would like to spend the last day of 2023 in the company, we will be talking about sums of around fifteen thousand. We are only talking about food and drink, not accommodation.
After all, we reported on this on Saturday.
The capacities were not completely full three days before New Year’s Eve, but a stay for three nights, including New Year’s Eve, costs more than ten thousand almost everywhere. The most expensive is of course the night from December 31 to January 1.
In some hotels, this day is seven times more expensive than others. Such Adeba Hotel in Pernerova Street offers a night on New Year’s Eve for more than 7,000 for two, but a week later it is only 1,800.
We could find dozens of similar examples.
Hilton on December 31 for 11,600, the week after that is twice as cheap. Hotel Uno Prague advertises all Sundays for about 1,200, the last day of this year is almost five times more.

Menu
The editors focused on well-known businesses not only in the center of the metropolis.
We will start with Ondřej Slanina in Chateau Havel Prague. The New Year’s Eve menu is served here from 5:00 p.m. and costs 2,450 crowns for an adult. It includes an aperitif, cold and warm starter, soup, main course (slow-roasted beef tenderloin with truffle puree) and dessert.

The Tiskárna Národní restaurant also offers the same number of meals. La Republica in Prague 1 has a menu for 2,800 crowns per person. Food and toast are included. The Hard Rock Cafe restaurant, Nebozízek, the Altány Kampa restaurant or the Deer restaurant in Michalská Street are also in a similar price range.

Of course, some hotel restaurants are significantly more expensive. Cloud 9 Sky Bar in Hilton will offer a menu for 8,490 crowns. In contrast, the Hoffmeister Hotel’s restaurant keeps the menu just under four thousand. At the Grand Hotel Bohemia in the city center, the resulting sum is even 10,990 crowns. In the case of hotels, however, it is necessary to point out that the composition of guests consists primarily of foreign clientele.
In addition to the “television” chef Slanina mentioned above, Zdeněk Pohlreich also has a famous name. Compared to other restaurants, his Café Imperial is one of the more expensive ones. The menu costs 3,950 crowns for an adult, and 1,825 crowns for children from 4 to 12 years old. The reservation was accompanied by a deposit of 100 percent of the total amount. During the evening, there will be live music and guests will enjoy not only a buffet, but also a served main course. Of course, the amount does not include drinks.
