Where to Shop on January 1st in Toulouse: Business Openings and Closures for the New Year

Goodbye 2023, and on to 2024! For the first day of the year, Monday January 1, 2024, some services and businesses will be open in Toulouse and the urban area. Here are the ones.

Where to shop on January 1st?

On this first day of the year, you may need to run some emergency errands. Here are the businesses that will be open in and around Toulouse:

  • The Carrefour City Saint-Exupérylocated at 75 avenue de Saint-Exupéry, will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.;
  • The Carrefour City Jules Julienlocated at 121 avenue Jules Julien, will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.;
  • The Carrefour City Bachelierlocated 44 place Bachelier, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.;
  • The Carrefour City Gloirelocated 3 avenue de la Gloire, will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
  • The Carrefour Express Minimeslocated at 49 boulevard des Minimes, will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.;
  • The Carrefour City Camille Pujollocated at 68 avenue Camille Pujol, will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
  • The Carrefour City Saint-Michellocated at 105 grand rue Saint-Michel, will be open from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.;
  • The Casino Blagnac Andromedalocated at 17 avenue d’Andromède in Blagnac, will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.;
  • The Casino Toulouse Cépièrelocated at 389 route de Saint-Simon, will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
  • The Casino Toulouse Minimeslocated at 178 avenue des Minimes, will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
  • The Casino Toulouse Ladieslocated at 2-4 boulevard Griffoul Dorval, will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
  • The Casino Toulouse Honoré Serreslocated at 37 bis avenue Honoré Serres, will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
  • The Casino Toulouse Bonnefoylocated at 25 rue du faubourg Bonnefoy, will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • The Giant Casino de l’espace Fenouillet will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Shopping centers will not be open. Customers will also not be able to find major brands on this first day of the year like Fnac, Castorama, Alinéa, Ikea, Leroy Merlin and even Truffaut.

Administrative services, swimming pools and museums…

As for administrative services, nothing will be operational this Monday, January 1, inform Toulouse town hall. On the other hand, the civil status service will be available, only for death declarations, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 2, rue de l’Abbé Jules-Lemire.

All sports facilities (swimming pools, ice rinks, tennis, etc.) will be closed this Monday. And all municipal or metropolitan cultural places (libraries, media libraries, museums, etc.) too.

Waste collection: only three neighborhoods collected

Please note that this Monday, January 1, waste collection will not be insured, except in the hypercenter of Toulouse, in the Arnaud-Bernard, Capitole and Carmes districts. Find the 2024 waste collection calendar by clicking here.

No collection in Toulouse industrial zones. Make-up collections will take place on January 3 and 4. Moreover, all recycling centers of the metropolis will be closed this Monday.
