Vice presidential candidate number 2, Gibran Rakabuming Raka responded to criticism from Mahfud Md regarding the free lunch program. Gibran was grateful and took it as input.
“Yes, thank you for your input, Mr Mahfud Md,” said Gibran briefly, as reported detikJatengMonday (1/1/2024).
Previously, Mahfud questioned the prospects of the free lunch program favored by the Prabowo-Gibran couple with an estimated cost of IDR 400 trillion. Mahfud believes that the prospects for the free lunch program are unclear.
“Look, a free lunch is great, but what are the prospects?” said Mahfud at the Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta, Saturday (30/12).
Mahfud said he and Ganjar Pranowo had a better program than that. Namely gastronomy which will further empower society.
“We are more than that. People are not only given fish, but they are given fishing rods, fish hooks. When it comes to eating, we have a program called gastronomy, not just lunch. But the food is also healthy,” said Mahfud.
