A video clip was published on social media platforms of the first comment from the head of the “Music Institute,” and this was after news of the artist Mohamed Abdo’s retirement circulated.
He said in his intervention with Al-Ekhbariya channel: “I expect the retirement to take place during a private ceremony, and this is what is customary according to the protocol. Many people thought that the last concert of the artist Mohamed Abdo yesterday was for retirement, but it was a ceremony dedicated to honoring and presenting distinctive examples from his 60-year journey.”

He also continued his speech, adding: “I do not think that the issue of retirement is currently on the cards, and if there is a retirement, a special event will be held for it.”
