The Administration of the University General Hospital of Ioannina announces the renewal of almost all the anesthesia stations of the Hospital’s operating rooms.
The renewal includes 11 anesthesia machines and state-of-the-art patient vital parameters monitoring systems, as well as an anesthesia data information system network. The procurement is part of the COOFHEA-2 project and was implemented by PGNI in programmatic cooperation with the Region of Epirus within the framework of the cross-border cooperation program INTERREG Greece — Italy 2014-2020, with a budget of €660,000.00 including VAT.
The state-of-the-art AISYS CS 2 anesthesia stations of the GE HEALTHCARE manufacturer, which are to be put into full operation from the new year, will replace an equal number of anesthesia equipment that has served the Hospital’s needs successfully for the past 15 years, but is now considered completely obsolete. The new anesthesia stations will improve patient safety and anesthesia support.
The Administration of PGNI expresses its warm thanks to the Regional Governor of Epirus Mr. Kahrimanis for his constant support and help, as well as to the Services of PGNI and the Region of Epirus, which with impeccable cooperation and professionalism quickly and efficiently implemented this demanding project which will ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Hospital’s surgeries for the next 15 years.
It is emphasized that the Administration of PGNI in collaboration with the Administration of the 6th Y.P.E. will continue to actively support the work of its scientific executive potential, with the ultimate goal of providing high quality and efficient health services.
