A lot is happening at BVB in the last week of the year. Coach Edin Terzic receives support from Nuri Sahin and Sven Bender and there are always transfer rumors – be it about departures or new arrivals.
But now a detail from the catalog of punishments is also known. Quite an exciting one over the holiday season. Because life as a professional also requires a lot of discipline. Before leaving for the Christmas break, all the professionals were weighed. When they return on January 2nd, there will be exactly the same procedure.
Training camp helps with “diet”
If the stars have eaten too much, it goes into their wallets. BVB defender Thomas Meunier gives an insight. The stars then have to pay 1,000 euros into the team fund for each kilogram they gain. Meunier did not name a name, but stated that a player had already been threatened with a fine of 10,000 euros.
But BVB is still accommodating. You get a week to work off the excess pounds. Only then should the punishment take effect. The 10,000 euro player is said to have managed to get back into sufficient shape. By the way, BVB will be going to the training camp in Marbella on January 3rd – enough time to train hard.
