Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, at midnight Sunday – Monday, welcomes the New Year 2024, with amazing celebrations and fireworks in many of its famous locations.
The Dubai Government Media Office published in a post on its account on the “X” platform, formerly Twitter, a video clip of New Year’s celebrations in Dubai, the lighting of the Burj Khalifa, and many other landmarks.
The Dubai Media Office stated in another post on the “X” platform: “The Global Village in Dubai celebrated New Year’s events in Dubai with 7 wonderful fireworks displays at different times.”
In a previous publication, the Dubai Government Media Office said: “Dubai, sparkling as usual, is preparing to dazzle the world again through New Year’s celebrations in the city of Dubai.”
The Media Office also published pictures of the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police during his field follow-up of the efforts of the work teams and celebration sites to ensure the comfort and safety of all visitors to New Year’s celebrations in Dubai.
The media office stated, “A team consisting of approximately 6,000 security personnel and 1,328 patrols has been allocated to cover and secure 32 fireworks sites in Dubai.”
Meanwhile, before midnight, the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi will host a one-hour fireworks and drone display, which is set to break 4 Guinness World Records. More than 5,000 drones are preparing to fly over the skies of Al Wathba.
For his part, the Emirati President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, wrote in a post on his account on the “X” platform, on the occasion of the arrival of the year 2024: “With the beginning of the new year, I pray to God Almighty that it will be a year of goodness and prosperity in our beloved Emirates, and security and peace.” For all the peoples of the world.”
