In a conversation with Pravda.Ru, virologist Vitaly Zverev explained what should be done first when infected with mycoplasma pneumonia.
Before you start taking various medications on your own for cold symptoms, you should definitely consult a doctor. Zverev reminds that only a specialist can determine the nature of the disease.
In case of treatment of mycoplasma infection, certain types of antibiotics are prescribed. If the patient has a viral disease (ARVI, influenza, covid), then antibiotics will not help him at all. In this case, at the beginning of the disease, an interferon inducer can help, but then it is also useless; properly selected restoratives are needed.
