In the past hours, the Israeli army escalated its attacks on southern Lebanon, launching raids on border villages, while Hezbollah targeted Israeli sites in the Upper Galilee.
According to the official Lebanese News Agency, heavy Israeli occupation artillery in the western sector bombed the outskirts of the towns of Shihin, Al-Jabain, Umm Al-Tut, and Jabal Balat.
The agency reported that Israel fired heavy machine guns at the outskirts of the town of Al-Bustan, from positions adjacent to the town of Aita Al-Shaab.
Israeli warplanes also launched a number of raids on Mount Labouneh, surrounding the town of Naqoura, Jabal Balat, and Al-Alam, according to the same source.
In the central sector, Al-Arabi’s correspondent reported that an Israeli bombing targeted the town of Yaron.
Throughout the night and until the early morning hours, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft continued to fly over the villages adjacent to the Blue Line.
Targeting Israeli sites
In addition, Israeli Army Radio said: An anti-armor missile was launched from Lebanon, towards the “Bir’am” and “Doviv” settlements in the Western Galilee, without causing any casualties, indicating that sources of fire in southern Lebanon were attacked with artillery.
Hezbollah had published pictures showing it targeting spy equipment at the Doviv Farms and the Israeli Hadab Yaron site in the Upper Galilee.
The party also announced that it had targeted Israeli military equipment and sites off the southern Lebanese border, confirming that it had achieved direct hits.
Since October 8, Lebanon’s southern border has witnessed an escalation with the Israeli army in parallel with the occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip, which led to the martyrdom of more than 21,500 Palestinians and the wounding of about 56,000 others.
