On March 22nd, the well-known Zittau veterinarian Manfred Eifler died at the age of 83. The veterinary doctor opened his practice in Zittau over 30 years ago. But he had been a veterinarian for much longer. After his studies, he ran the state small animal practice at Mandauer Berg for many years before opening his private practice after the fall of the Wall. He also looked after the animals in the Zittau Zoo. His practice is now continued by his son.
