A couple of months ago, the electric car manufacturer Tesla officially unveiled the upgraded version of the Model 3, but more and more signs indicate that it is the turn of Tesla’s most popular model, the Model Y, to be refreshed. The upgraded Model Y could debut as early as the middle of next year, according to Bloomberg available information, with the media referring to sources close to the manufacturer.
If sources are to be believed, the facelifted Model Y will first go into production at Tesla’s factory in Shanghai and will feature obvious exterior and interior design changes as well.
The first news about the Model Y feisliftu appeared earlier this year, at that time Automotive News writing that the fruits of the project could be expected in 2024. Now 2024 is just around the corner, and it looks like the same can be said for a fresher Model Y variant. Bloomberg the source informs that during the New Year holidays (very likely during the Chinese New Year) various changes will take place at the factory for about a week to adapt it to the production needs of the new Model Y, and additional changes will follow when the model is really close to starting serial production.
