The information was provided today in print by the spokesperson for the Criminal Investigation Service in the province of Huíla, Segunda Quitumba, revealing that the arrest took place in the informal Mutundo market.

In addition to this crime, Segunda Quitumba said that in the warehouse owned by the detainee, another irregularity was also recorded, which was related to the poor conservation of the products.

“Yesterday at around 5pm we received an anonymous report about suspicious activities inside a warehouse located in the Mutundo Informal Market. In response to the complaint, a team from this service went to the location, confirmed the veracity of the facts and caught the citizen in question opening bags of ST brand rice, weighing 25 kg, removing one to two kilos of rice to place in other bags. and then sealing them with a machine, on site. Rice was also observed on the ground to be placed in bags and other bags in poor condition, damp, the citizen in question was arrested and a bag sealing machine, an automatic scale, scissors and 97 bags were seized. of rice in poor condition, intended for sale” he detailed.

According to him, this is a practice that has been gaining ground in the city of Lubango, especially by foreign citizens who own large commercial areas.

Inspector Segunda Quitumba guaranteed that the entire process is being handled so that the detainee is subjected to Summary Trial.
