The Czech Republic has played two absolutely different matches. In the first one, practically nothing worked for them and they lost to Slovakia with a result of 2:6. A day later, however, they faced Norway, which they beat 8:1 thanks to hat tricks from Kulich and Šalé.
The USA is undefeated in the tournament so far. The overseas favorite for gold was able to take care of triumphs over Norway (4:2) and Switzerland (11:3) to reach the top of our basic group after the third day of play.
