Philadelphia Flyers’ Samuel Ersson Leaves Game Early Due to Dehydration, Team Wins 4-1 Against Vancouver Canucks

Philadelphia slog Vancouver.

But Flyers keeper Samuel Ersson had to leave the game early.

This after the Swede suffered from dehydration.

Samuel Ersson – with a past in Brynäs and Västerås – played well and kept a clean sheet in two periods.

But about a minute into the third, the 24-year-old conceded his first goal from behind, and shortly afterwards he went and switched with Carter Hart.

According to the Flyers, it was because the Swede was tired after an intense schedule and had suffered from dehydration.

– He felt a little dizzy. Honest of him not to play on, says NBC’s Al Morganti in the telecast.

Is second in the division

– Sam had a great match and fought as long as he could. We had a long travel day yesterday and he didn’t feel 100 percent, so we had warned Hart during the second break that he might have to jump in, says the team’s head coach John Tortorella.

Hart nailed it again after that and the Philadelphia Flyers won against the Vancouver Canucks 4–1.

They thus ended the Canucks’ nine-game point streak.

The Flyers were tipped for defeat before the season, but have stood for a surprisingly good autumn. They are second in the Metropolitan Division behind the leaders New York Rangers after 34 games.
