Like every year, groups form to go swimming one last time on December 31 to end the year in style.
In Marseillan, two associations, La Capéchade and Les Flamants Oz, are behind this third edition which will take place on the main beach at 11 a.m. Unlike our Agathois neighbors, this joyous celebration does not take place in the simplest way. Here, we are in the textile sector and access is not regulated. If the members of the Oz Flamingos opt for the pink color of their emblematic bird, colorful swimsuits, skirts, hats, buoys and the wildest accessories are in order. This family and friendly event is open to all Marseillanais. The neighbors of Pomérols, Florensac and Pinet have promised, this year, to join them. Teasing or not, the organizers suggest an exceptional participation which will create the event. The Longe-Côte association will take the opportunity to introduce you to the practice of its sport and will offer you an initiation.
For their members who practice their sport even in winter, it is indeed Christmas all year round. The weather this year promises to be very mild with little wind and a temperature of 13°. At the end of the bath, participants will share hot soup and pastries, not forgetting mulled wine to warm hearts. In exchange for a small participation of €2, a pink bracelet attesting to participation in the event will be awarded.
