Al-Ahly Goalkeeper Mustafa Schubert Reflects on Winning the Egyptian Super Cup: “It’s Even Sweeter When It’s Difficult”

Mustafa Schubert: When you win a difficult tournament, it becomes even sweeter.. And Al-Soulia: A title with which we will end 2023

Mostafa Schubert, Al-Ahly club goalkeeper, confirmed that the tournament gets better when it becomes difficult after winning the Egyptian Super Cup title.

Al-Ahly won the Egyptian Super Cup title at the expense of Al-Mustaqbal Al-Haditha 4-2.

Mustafa Schubert said via Abu Dhabi Sports: “The match was not easy. We should have adapted better in the second half, and unfortunately there was negligence. Praise be to God, may God grant us success.”

“When you win a tough tournament, it always makes it more fun,” he added.

The goalkeeper made a mistake that led to his team conceding two goals before winning by four goals in extra time.

For his part, Amr Al-Soulia said: “Any tournament in which Al-Ahly participates aims to reach first place and the podium, which is the title with which we will conclude the year 2023.”

Al-Souliya participated as a substitute in the second half, replacing Imam Ashour.
