Holly has been presenting the show with colleague Phillip Schofield (61) since 2006, but this time she will be seen alongside ‘Catchphrase’ presenter Stephen Mulhern (46). Schofield, who also appeared alongside Willoughby in the ITV program ‘This Morning’, quit in April after controversy over a relationship between him and a younger colleague.

Willoughby had been presenter of ‘This Morning’ for fourteen years before she quit in October. She did this after the arrest of a man suspected of plotting to kidnap, rape and murder her. The presenter herself then explained that she was taking a step back “for myself and my family”.

The suspect, Gavin Plumb (36), was remanded in custody and appeared in court in early November. According to the indictment, Plumb “encouraged, attempted or proposed” Willoughby’s murder. He is said to have been in possession of weapons and also to have made a kit to tie someone up. The man pleaded not guilty to all charges in November. Plumb is due back in court on June 24, 2024.
