Mexican Red Cross in Polanco administers Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine to over 100 people

People of different ages gathered this Thursday, December 28, at the Mexican Red Cross in Polanco, some of them arrived at 7:00 a.m., to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

The director of the Polanco Red Cross Hospital, Gerardo Vargas, indicated that 100 vaccines would be applied, as he indicated yesterday to EL UNIVERSAL.

More than 100 people arrived at the Polanco headquarters to apply the Pfizer biological, and they expressed that it has a reasonable price compared to the pharmaceutical companies that offer it.

Discontent began in the ranks due to not having the vaccine and the disorganization of the Mexican Red Cross.

The vaccination began at 9:00 a.m., so they have not yet passed on to all those interested in receiving the Pfizer vaccine.

In an interview with EL UNIVERSAL, Jorge Forastieri Muñoz, state delegate of the Red Cross of the State of Mexico, expressed that they are prepared to receive those interested in acquiring the Pfizer vaccine at any of the institution’s five headquarters.

Yesterday, it was mentioned that the headquarters are: Lilas, Hospital Central de Polanco, Toluca, Naucalpan and Cuautitlán, and that each delegation would have 100 biologicals per day, with a cost of 785 pesos.

In these locations there will be vaccines for minors; Those who can receive the dose must be between 5 and 12 years old and it is necessary to present a medical prescription, where the pediatrician indicates that the vaccine is required. Each space will also have 100 biologicals to be administered to children.

He added that each delegation will have 15 people who work in the Red Cross for the application of biologicals, from administrative staff to health professionals.

Forastieri pointed out that these locations will apply the vaccines since they have the necessary infrastructure such as the cold chain required by Pfizer’s biologics.
