In the first 4 days of week 51 (18 – 21 December), the national average number of virus particles in the sewage water slightly by 8% compared to the week before.
Last week, the share of participants with a positive corona test result remained low Infection radar(externe link) same, compared to the previous week (3.6% to 3.4%)*. The number of hospital admissions of patients with SARS-CoV-2 has also remained the same compared to the previous week (daily average number of admissions from 163 to 165)**. Last week, an average of 856 patients with SARS-CoV-2 were in hospital; that is slightly lower than the week before (average 881 patients).
The figures for sewage water surveillance, infection radar and hospital admissions are less complete due to the holidays. But the number of virus particles in the sewage water, the Infection Radar figures and the number of hospital admissions are, as in previous weeks, high (source: LCPS).
