The Djurgårds player was criticized by TV4 expert Fredrik Söderström

Albin Grewe, 22, picked up his third match penalty in five weeks.
Then he was compared to the murderer and bank robber Ioan Ursut – known as one of Sweden’s leading prison escapees.
– If you reason normally, you understand the point in it, says TV4’s expert Fredrik Söderström.
Ioan Ursut died in his prison cell, aged 53, in 2012 after shaking bars, off and on, for 25 years.
Among other things, Ursut shot down two policemen at Mariatorget in 1989. He also made himself known with several spectacular prison escapes, including once when he smeared himself with butter to be able to get out of a hole in Hallanstalten.
Today his name appeared in the broadcast during the Allsvenskan hockey derby between AIK and Djurgården. The reason for that was when Djurgården’s Albin Grewe incurred a match penalty in the first period after a tackle on Calle Åsell.

“Ursut and the boys”
The match penalty was the 22-year-old’s third in five weeks.
– It’s downright stupid to go in like that. A player like Albin Grewe, who has a criminal record that makes Ursut and the boys appear sympathetic, should stay away from that, said expert Fredrik Söderström in TV4 Hockey.
Söderström then had the chance to develop his reasoning.
– Of course clumsy if it is interpreted in any other way. I am referring, of course, to the fact that in hockey terms he has taken far too many minutes and a couple of suspensions. Nothing else really. Now and then, of course, there will be a reasoning that I flutter on my way. But if you reason normally, you understand the point. Then if people want to turn it into something else, I can’t do much, he says.
Grewe is quite young and there are some who scapegoat him in a match like this. How do you feel about it?
– We had a good discussion with Michael Holmqvist afterwards in the studio. What is my point in the end is how to manage such a player in a group and in a team. Now it’s like the third time he’s taken that kind of expulsion, so I think somewhere that you have to live with the fact that you’re also a little questioned. It might also be a bit toughening.

Don’t want to comment
Do you think he will get a few game suspension now?
– I guess there will be a few matches. I’ve seen worse things since then. But he should reasonably know that he has eyes on him and the way the matches look today with cameras, you can’t escape. I thought it was unnecessary and unreasonable given the situation.
Djurgård trainer Michael Holmqvist had the chance to respond to Söderström’s comment, but did not want to say anything.
– I’m probably not going to comment on that, he replied.

Teammate Emil Berglund, on the other hand, did not think there was anything wrong with Grewe’s tackle. Rather, he believed that the recipient, Calle Åsell, was filming.
– First he lies lifeless on the ice, then he plays the next change. It is embarrassing behavior by that person, Berglund replied.
