A man in his late teens has been arrested for a knife robbery in Oslo. Another man attended to the victim and pointed police in the direction of the suspect.

The police received a report at 8.50pm about the knife robbery which took place in the open street outside a grocery store in Bogerud.
– A man saw a woman being robbed at knifepoint. He took control of the woman, while observing that the suspect ran from the scene into a block. He then drove the woman home, she was very shaken, says operations manager Rune Hekkelstrand of the Oslo police to NTB.
The man who was arrested is already known to the police. He is in his late teens and belongs in the area. The police have seized a knife which they suspect was used to make threats.
The police are working to get the woman’s explanation of the incident. There is no indication that she was physically harmed.
– The reporter has been very observant and taken responsibility. He has made a good judgment in helping the woman and giving us information that led to an arrest, says Hekkelstrand.
The man who has been arrested has not yet been questioned.
Correction
The police initially stated that the incident happened in Skullerud, but the correct thing is that it happened in Bogerud. The article was corrected at 22:25 on Wednesday 27 December 2023.
