Apple has won a court ruling, according to which a US ban on the sale of its latest smart watches is temporarily suspended.
The ruling grants Apple a postponement in implementing the ruling in a patent battle, which resulted in the suspension of the sale of watches in the market.
The company, which has a market value of $17 billion, was threatened, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday.
An appeals court in Washington issued a temporary halt to the ban on Wednesday, a day after Apple asked the US International Trade Commission to postpone the decision, which would have banned the export of Apple’s Series 9 and Ultra 2 smart watches.
The court gave the Commission until January 10 to respond to Apple’s request for further comment during the company’s appeal against the International Trade Commission’s decision.
Apple was forced to stop sales of one of its distinctive products after the International Trade Commission concluded that the company had violated two patents from the medical device company Masimo for a device that measures the percentage of blood saturation with oxygen.
