And welcoming 2024 is an event that is celebrated in several ways: from the typical traditions that are carried out throughout Latin America, parties with friends and loved ones or simply visiting one of the traditional ceremonies like the one that takes place in Times Square.

Celebration in Times Square
The celebration to welcome the new year in Times Square is one of the most anticipated events for tourists and New Yorkers in New York City.
Like every year, the world awaits the celebration of this magical night with the lights and energy of the crowd and the performances in the heart of the Big Apple. As they say the organizers on the website: “Every year, as the clock approaches midnight on December 31, the eyes of the world turn once again toward the dazzling lights and bustling energy of Times Square. Anticipation is high. New Year’s Eve in The symbolic center of New York City has become more than just a celebration: it is a global tradition.
There will be performances, including musical performances by Paul Anka, Flo Rida, Megan Thee Stallion, Jelly Roll, Sabrina Carpenter and Tyla. There will also be a dance performance by the Sino-American Friendship Association and more. More information will be published during the month of December.
The celebration will begin shortly before 6:00 pm when the Times Square sphere will rise to the top of the pole at One Times Square.

State Park Tours
For those who like to hike, Governor Kathy Hochul proposes a special outdoor plan with a celebration at state parks, historic sites, wildlife areas, canal trails and public lands throughout New York State on 1 January 2024. The program First Day Hikes offers varied hiking options for people to enjoy at more than 80 locations throughout the state.

New Year’s Eve fireworks in Prospect Park
People can celebrate the end of the year with a fireworks display at Grand Army Plaza in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The free event will include live entertainment by Quintessential Playlist, who will play live music at 10pm before the fireworks begin.
Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso will attend the celebration.

NYRR Midnight Run
You can start the new year running with the first race of 2024 in NYRR Midnight Run or NYRR midnight run. The countdown to 2024 begins at 11:59 p.m., and at the stroke of midnight, a fireworks display will light up the night sky and kick off the 4-mile race in Central Park.

Since 1992, First Night Morris County has celebrated the entry of the new year. This 2023 marks the celebration of the 32nd New Year with an unmatched variety of performances. First Night Morris County 2024 is New Jersey’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration, offering a gorgeous, family-friendly, substance and alcohol-free celebration in the heart of Morristown.
All attendees receive access to several things including:

People can visit Surfside Park with the family and enjoy music, crafts and fireworks from the 30th Street beach.
Celebration in Ocean City, New Jersey
While most cities celebrate New Year’s Eve, Ocean City does things a little differently. The city begins its festivities early in the afternoon on December 31 and continues until January 1 with several special events. The night is packed with live entertainment and interactive activities, giving people plenty of different options. The following morning’s events are intended to keep the city active and excited for the upcoming beach season.
On the last day of the year, Ocean City has a city-wide celebration called First Night. Say goodbye to the old year with a bang, as thousands of locals and visitors gather on the beach. Throughout the afternoon and evening, various musical acts will be performed in different locations.
Whatever you choose to do at the beginning of the night, everyone gathers at the end of the night to watch the city’s spectacular fireworks.
The New Year’s Eve party continues at the beginning of the year with a second part, called First Day. There are two notable and popular events on First Day. The first is the annual 5km boardwalk, where runners and walkers gather to compete against each other , or you can participate in the First Day at the Polar Beach Plunge.

Celebration in Hartford
There are two spectacular fireworks shows scheduled at Bushnell Park. One at 6 pm for the youngest and another at midnight. Thousands of visitors and residents watch the fireworks throughout the city. First Night includes multicultural activities, events, performances and more.
