A custom 2009 Ford F-150 that belonged to late racer and entertainer Ken Block is up for sale with an asking price of $195,000. The price is steep for an almost 15-year-old F-150, but this is no ordinary Ford
This project is known as RaptorTRAX – it was created for driving in the snow. American tuning company SVC Offroad removed the original wheels and replaced them with a set of tracks that are ideal for snow, but can also be used in mud, gravel and rocks. If necessary, these tracks can be removed and the original wheels installed.
Many other changes were made to Ken Block’s unique F-150. These include custom SVC control arms, King remote-reservoir shocks, skid plates, tubular bumpers and fiberglass fenders.
The stock 5.4-liter V8 is replaced with a 6.2-liter V8 equipped with a Whipple turbocharger and producing 650 hp. This engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system.
The SVC Offroad company did not stop there and installed a safety cage in the cargo body, inside of which there are two Recaro seats. There is also a waterproof audio system. The car is equipped with a Warn winch, a roof rack with two chandeliers shining forward and backward.
Several of Ken Block’s vehicles have been sold in the past, including his 1986 Ford RS200, 2013 Ford Fiesta ST RX43, 2011 Ford Fiesta GYM3, and the famous 1977 Ford F-150 Hoonitruck.
Ken Block died on January 2, 2023, in a snowmobile accident. Block has competed in many types of sporting events, including skateboarding, snowboarding, motocross, rallying, rallycross and gymkhana. Moreover, Ken Block began his racing career quite late – when he was almost 40 years old. Videos in which he skillfully drives a car and performs various stunts have made him a worldwide celebrity. The fatal accident happened to him at the age of 55.
