Le Monde Condemns International Indifference to Gaza Massacre, Netanyahu’s Imposed Permanent State of War

The French newspaper Le Monde considered that the indifference of international officials in the face of the ongoing massacre in Gaza allowed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to impose a permanent state of war and ignore the fate that awaits the Palestinian Strip after the conflict.

The newspaper saw that “no one is discussing the extent of the human losses resulting from this ongoing massacre, and therefore this guilty indifference, if not blind support for the ongoing destruction, is what helps Netanyahu to announce the intensification of the fighting and promise that it will be a long war with no end in sight.”

She explained, “This matter can continue as long as the United States is satisfied with the arrival of a little aid to the Palestinians, who are immersed in extreme poverty and exposed to death at any moment by bombs supplied by Israel, as its message states through the recent Security Council resolution.”

She pointed out that “prolonging the fighting provides silence about the fate that awaits Gaza after the end of the war, and allows Netanyahu to avoid what he hates about the return of the Palestinian Authority to the Gaza Strip, because that would be necessary to relaunch a diplomatic process.”
