“I decided to break the silence. More than 40 days have passed since the tragic death of Saltanat. The children and I needed time to comprehend and realize what happened.

My children and I sincerely sympathize with Saltanat’s family in their irreparable loss. I didn’t know her personally, but the children became friends with her and remember her as a bright, kind and very sympathetic person,” Nazim wrote on her Instagram page.

She told how her and Bishimbayev’s joint children perceived the incident.

“This tragedy, of course, is even more painful because all this was done by a seemingly close person to them, who should have been their support, support and example. But instead, it is scary, ashamed and unbearably painful.

Despite all the difficulties and hardships that befell my children, which, of course, cannot be compared with the pain of losing Saltanat’s relatives, I believe and know that they will always be on the side of good and light,” Nazim wrote.

Let us remember that she was officially married to Kuandyk Bishimbayev for 14 years. The couple divorced in 2020, a year after the ex-minister was released from prison. They have three children.
