On Friday, January 26, 2024, a communication event “[ISS Real-time Communication]Furukawa Space” will be held connecting JAXA astronaut Satoshi Furukawa, who is on a long-term stay at the International Space Station (ISS), with the ground studio (Minato-ku, Tokyo). It has been decided that the “Challenge to become an aviator! High school student space quiz” will be held.
In line with this, we are recruiting[about 3 to 4]current high school students who can appear at the communication event.
We are recruiting high school students who are interested in space.
Those selected will be asked to come to the studio and answer various quizzes (quizzes related to Astronaut Furukawa’s life on the ISS, and the missions currently being carried out on the ISS). Astronaut Furukawa will explain the quiz answers in real time directly from the ISS.
The person with the most correct answers will be selected as the “Space JAPAN Supporter High School Student Representative” and will be invited to an event related to Astronaut Furukawa scheduled for spring to summer 2024 (scheduled for Tokyo). *

Application conditions
- Current high school student
- Age/Gender/Nationality/Regardless of grammar
- Those who can speak Japanese
- Those who can come to the venue (address: 4-15-1 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo) by the meeting time on the day of the event.
*Estimated meeting time at the venue is 1/26 (Friday) from 16:00 to 17:00. (Negotiable depending on the situation)
*Please note that you will be responsible for your own transportation and accommodation expenses. - Those who can participate in the online meeting (about 30 minutes on weekday evenings) with JAXA and event management staff in advance.
