After a few years of absence, the BMA and the City of Bagnols-sur-Cèze are resurrecting this tradition dear to the hearts of the people of Bagnols. However, rest assured, this is not the traditional bullfight with bulls, but an exciting pedestrian race in the heart of the city, with a departure scheduled for 6 p.m. on December 30 on the Town Hall Square. The history of “Bullfighting” dates back to December 31, 1925, in the streets of São Paulo, Brazil, where residents celebrated the New Year by dancing, parading, and of course, running. This tradition inspired the organization of road races during the end-of-year holidays. The term “corrida” means “race” in Spanish and Portuguese. This sporting event brings together around 250 participants and marks the last pedestrian race of the year in Gard. Do not hesitate to join the participants and organizers, whatever whatever your level, and even in disguise if you wish to live an unforgettable experience in the streets of the city! Meet on December 30 at 6 p.m. on the Town Hall Square for the start of this 13th edition of the Corrida.
