A man in his 50s from Brumunddøl received unpleasant treatment in Hamar on the night of Wednesday.
The police posted a message on X that a man in his 50s had been hit several times in a car. The man eventually ended up outside the car where he was given further punches and kicks. This must have happened at the intersection between Vangsvegen and Østregate in Hamar between 03.30 and 04.00.
– It was he and someone else who had arranged a private ride late at night. We think it was a coincidence that they ended up in the same car. Then there were disagreements of some kind inside the car. It started with that and the man was dealt a number of blows. The car stopped and this continued on the outside, operations manager Christian Svarstad tells Ringsaker Blad.
The man received severe treatment and immediately afterwards he was taken to hospital by someone who picked him up at the scene. At the hospital, the police were notified.
– We have not found any suspected perpetrators. We don’t know who it is and thus we are a bit at a loss when it comes to finding them. This was late at night, but many people were out last night and we hope there were others in this area who may have seen something. That’s why we ask for tips, says Svarstad.
The police can be tipped off on tel. 02800 if anyone has seen the incident.
