After a violent collision with Saka, Tsimikas crashed into Jurgen Klopp on the touchline and was unable to continue playing. The Greek defender was immediately taken to hospital, where Kostas was diagnosed with a broken collarbone.
“I heard that he was admitted to hospital, so I would like to apologize to him. Of course, I didn’t want this to happen.
For me it was an equal episode, and I played shoulder to shoulder with him. I didn’t see it, but he apparently had a bad fall. I also didn’t see him running into Jurgen Klopp. I was focused on continuing the game because I didn’t think it was a foul. This was my vision of the episode,” Football.London quotes Saka.
