Weyana Shatakum Ghair: Department of Islamic Affairs in Dubai Attracts 1,300 Students with New Initiatives

The “Weyana Shatakum Ghair” initiatives, organized by the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, have attracted about 1,300 students, both male and female, since its launch in mid-December.

The Director of the Department of the Maktoum Centers for the Holy Qur’an and its Sciences in the department, Jassim Muhammad Al-Khazraji, said that the “Wayana Shtakm Ghair” event includes three initiatives: the Al-Faraj Muezzin initiative, courses in memorizing the Holy Qur’an and accompanying activities, and targets our young children from the age of six to 16 years. And the “Read and Meditate” program for all ages, from six years and above,” pointing out that these initiatives created a great response and social interaction among parents and children of Al-Faraj.

He stated that the idea of ​​the initiative meets Islamic cultural goals in a contemporary way, and revolves around strengthening the Emirati identity and developing the religious faith of our young children in the regions and neighborhoods of the city of Dubai, and it is part of the religious awareness plan.

For his part, the head of the Department of Student and Teacher Affairs at the department, Yousef Salah, stated that the event includes accompanying activities to hone the students’ talent, including sports programs, interactive workshops, teaching Arabic calligraphy, lectures on the concept of the Emirati sana and its importance, and intensive courses in the sciences of the Qur’an, in addition to Awareness lectures in cooperation with the Community Development Authority, First Aid, and Al-Ameen Service.
