The Abu Dhabi Athletics Club announced the organization of the second session in the field of “children’s athletics” for coaches and teachers working in schools, which will be held next month in Al Ain, in cooperation with the Regional Development Center for Athletics, affiliated with the International Federation.
The club revealed that, starting next January, it will organize 3 tournaments at the school level in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, in cooperation with the Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi, and with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
Khaled Rashid Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Athletics Club, stressed the importance of this tournament for selecting talents, developing skills, motivating young people, and enhancing their abilities in the various types of athletics competitions, especially after the great success achieved by the first tournament, which was held last September in Abu Dhabi. It witnessed the participation of 25 trainers.
He added: “We realize the importance of working on building capabilities and raising the technical level of coaches, because they are the ones who will carry out the training that forms the cornerstone of preparing athletes from a young age, and we are keen to implement the best programs that contribute to preparing promising champions who have high capabilities and skills.”
