Manama: The Board of Directors of the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance (BIBF) held its fourth annual meeting for this year, chaired by Mr. Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain and Chairman of the Institute’s Board of Directors. The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Directors and the Institute’s CEO, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hamid Al-Sheikh, to discuss the items on the meeting’s agenda and the Institute’s executive work plan.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors opened the fourth meeting of the Board of Directors by offering his sincere congratulations and blessings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, on the occasion of the celebration The Kingdom of Bahrain on its national holidays and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the reins of government.
During the meeting, programs and initiatives for the coming year were reviewed and discussed, in addition to the training programs and academic qualifications offered to enhance the training and development of national human cadres in the Kingdom of Bahrain and to improve the training outcomes provided by the Institute to meet the needs of the banking and financial sector, with a focus on the latest trends in the field of banking and financial technologies, and development. Sustainability, executive management sciences, digital transformation, and other future specializations.
The budget for 2024 was approved to achieve the desired goals of the Institute in preparing high-level qualified cadres, in accordance with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, by aligning education and training outcomes with the needs of the labor market.
The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors also praised the Institute’s outstanding performance during this year, including achieving key performance indicators, stressing the importance of continuing to provide the best training programs that keep pace with the latest global developments.
